Deck the Halls - Saturday, December 3rd at 10:00am

Join the festivities!  Come listen to carols and enjoy snacks as we all join together to transform our church building for the Advent season. All ages will want to make this an annual event.

Interfaith Thanksgiving Eve Service

Interfaith Thanksgiving Eve Service Wedgwood Presbyterian Church 8008 35th Ave NE, Seattle November 2 3, 2011 7:30 PM Several congregations from Northeast Seattle will join to give thanks at Wedgwood Presbyterian Church. After we give prayerful thanks, we will join together for fellowship. If you are able to join us please bring a small dessert to share, if you can. Coffee and punch will be served. Please bring a gift of non-perishable food for people who can share some of God’s gifts to us this Thanksgiving. We will collect them at the service and distribute them to the North Helpline.

All Church Work “fun” Party, Saturday November 5th 9:00am

Property has planned a work party for November 5th- 9am to Noon . We have mostly inside work that needs to be done. This is a fun opportunity for all ages to come and participate in the care of our building and grounds. No matter your age, there will be something for you to do, building community as you serve. And as always, there will be donuts and treats to keep your energy up. Come for one hour or all three.

Crock Pot Cook Off and Dance October 29th

Join us for a Crock Pot Cook Off and Dance on Saturday, October 29th. The Dinner is at 6:00pm and the Dance starts at 7:00pm. Squares, Circles, Contras. Music by the Ravenna Ramblers, the caller is Sherry Nevins. The dinner’s a potluck/contest for all crock-pot cooks. If you’ve got a favorite recipe for your crock-pot, please make a batch and bring it to compete for prizes and share for dinner with your Church family, friends and neighbors. People who don’t cook but enjoy good food are also welcome. Bruce Manger will be our emcee. After dinner, we’ll all join hands in a dance with a caller and live band. Contra dancing and folk dancing are included, but you don’t have to know how to dance since our caller will teach everyone. Even if you don’t want to dance, it’s lots of fun to watch. Please also bring canned goods, other nonperishable foods and donations for North Helpline’s food bank in Lake City.

Fun Fundraiser Saturday, October 15th 10:00am to noon Wedgwood Presbyterian’s East Parking Lot

What does a hockey stick and a jar of peanut butter have in common? Nothing – unless you think playing street hockey might be fun and make you feel good and donating food might be fun and make you feel good. Wedgwood Presbyterian is holding a continuous two-hour street hockey game in our east parking lot on Saturday, October 15 as a benefit for our North Helpline neighbors. You come and play street hockey (no experience needed – invite your friends) and donate food for the privilege of doing so. We’ll be here from 10:00am to 12:00 and run continuous sub-in games. We have sticks available, but if you have your own, bring it along. From 10:00am to 10:15 and 11:00am to 11:15, we’ll set aside time for our youngest set (elementary age and under) to play with each other and/or their parents.
