HOLY WEEK EVENTS

Palm Sunday, April 13
Join us for worship as we commemorate the triumphal entrance of Jesus into Jerusalem. (Matthew 21:1 – 9) All children are invited to meet in the Fireside Room before the service to help with the palm procession.

Maundy Thursday, April 17
Maundy Thursday remembers the commandment that Christ gave us, “I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another.” (John 13:34) We also celebrate the Lord’s Supper, remembering the meal Christ shared with his disciples before his death. The word Maundy is derived from the Latin word for command. Join us for a brisket and mashed potato meal as we remember Christ’s commandment through sharing a Supper and Service at 6:00pm.

Good Friday – God’s Friday – April 18
A day of solemn observance.
A day to remember the depths to which human hatred can descend. A day called “good” because it belongs to God. We are invited to join our neighbors at Lake City Presbyterian Church (3841 NE 123rd St.) for a service of remembrance at noon.

Easter Sunday, April 20
The church joyfully proclaims the good news that is at the very heart of the gospel: that Jesus Christ is risen from the dead. You’re invited to join us for our worship service at 9:30am followed by a brunch and egg hunts.
