Earth Ministry, a local Christian organization has started a new program called “Caring for All Creation: On the Road, At the Table, In the Home.” This program highlights the three areas in which individuals can have the greatest beneficial impact on God’s creation: through our transportation, food, and home-maintenance choices. On Sunday, September 19 our congregation will join in the “On the Road” portion of this program through our celebration of Drive Less Sunday. Drive Less Sunday is an opportunity to celebrate the blessings that come from giving God’s creation a rest, as well as giving us the chance to slow down and strengthen relationships with one another. On Drive Less Sunday, please consider carpooling, biking, walking, riding public transportation, or finding some other creative way to get to worship.
