Choir is moving to a new day. We will meet on Thursdays, beginning September 9th from 7:30-9:00 PM in the Music Room/B1 downstairs. If you’ve been considering giving choir a try, please come. Everyone is welcome! Please see Lisa Lewis for more information.

Earth Ministry, a local Christian organization has started a new program called “Caring for All Creation: On the Road, At the Table, In the Home.” This program highlights the three areas in which individuals can have the greatest beneficial impact on God’s creation: through our transportation, food, and home-maintenance choices. On Sunday, September 19 our congregation will join in the “On the Road” portion of this program through our celebration of Drive Less Sunday. Drive Less Sunday is an opportunity to celebrate the blessings that come from giving God’s creation a rest, as well as giving us the chance to slow down and strengthen relationships with one another. On Drive Less Sunday, please consider carpooling, biking, walking, riding public transportation, or finding some other creative way to get to worship. Join us on July 11th for Short Sunday. Short Sunday is a short outdoor worship service held on the South Lawn followed by coffee, juice and shortcake. The service begins at 9:30am. We hope to see you there!

The chapel and Calvin Handbell Choirs from Tower Hill 1st Presbyterian Church in Red Bank, NJ will be playing during worship on June 27th. You won't want to miss it! The twenty ringers, all high school students, perform on two sets of English handbells, a total of 125 tuned, bronze bells under the direction of Judith Werner, their Hand Bell Tour Director. Their programs, enjoyable for all age groups, have included original compositions for handbells, classical and popular music and hymns. The Handbell Choirs perform in concert throughout the year. Over the last twenty years, they have presented Christmas concerts at the White house, participated in national handbell festivals, and toured nationally and internationally. They are very excited to be performing at Wedgwood Presbyterian Church on Sunday, June 27th at the morning service. We look forward to hearing them!
