Sunday, August 28th – Worship and All Church Picnic

Plan to join your church family and bring a friend to Worship and the All Church Picnic this Sunday. This event will take place on the south lawn, weather permitting (Fellowship Hall in case of rain): Worship at 10:30am (note different time), followed by Picnic at 11:30am. Hot dogs, condiments and beverages provided and the grills will be hot! Please bring a side dish, salad or dessert to share.

Upcoming Summer Events

Please put these special summer events on your calendar, and plan to join your church family and bring a friend. These events will take place on the lawn of the south property (weather permitting—but since it’s Seattle, it’s Fellowship Hall in case of rain): Sunday July 17th - Short Sunday - A short worship service under the trees on the South Lawn (9:30am), followed by berry shortcake. Shorts or other casual dress encouraged. Sunday July 31st - 5th Sunday Brunch Potluck - Immediately following worship; please bring a side dish, salad, dessert or your most requested dish to share; beverages, plates and cutlery provided.

Babette’s Feast In 19th century Denmark, two adult sisters live in an isolated village with their father, who is the honored pastor of a small Protestant church that is almost a sect unto itself. Although they each are presented with a real opportunity to leave the village, the sisters choose to stay with their father, to serve to him and their church. After some years, a French woman refugee, Babette, arrives at their door, begs them to take her in, and commits herself to work for them as maid/housekeeper/cook. Sometime after their father dies, the sisters decide to hold a dinner to commemorate the 100th anniversary of his birth. Babette experiences unexpected good fortune and implores the sisters to allow her to take charge of the preparation of the meal. Although they are secretly concerned about what Babette might do, the sisters allow her to go ahead. Babette then prepares the feast of a lifetime for the members of the tiny church and an important gentleman related to one of them....

Youth Sunday - May 8th, 2011

Holy Week Services at Wedgwood

Maundy Thursday Service in which we commemorate Jesus’ last Passover meal with his disciples and remember his journey to the cross, crucifixion, and burial. Thursday, April 21 - Supper at 6:00 PM, Service at 7 PM Easter Sunday Service in which we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ and God’s victory over suffering, sin, and death. Sunday, April 24 - Worship at 9:30 AM, Continental Breakfastand Egg Hunts following worship.
